1st Look - Trumpeter Christian Scott's New Project "Christian aTunde Adjuah"! (Video)

OOOoOo - this is exciting news! I became friends with Christian about 3 years ago and have been schooled on a lot of jazz and New Orleans history by him. He is delightful to hang around with, always curious and never settles for the status quo.

The new project entitled Christian a Tunde Adjuah is going to be a two disc set. It's going to be such a treat for everyone that has embraced Christian Scott and his vision.

The EPK (Electronic Press Kit) below was released earlier today by Concord Jazz on their YouTube Channel.

Enjoy!

Like Take 6? Check Out This Interview with Founding Member Claude McKnight!

Warm greetings to everyone! Do you remember the press release that I posted a couple of weeks ago about the new Take 6 album One? Guess what? The opportunity arose for EoJ to interview Claude McKnight. If it wasn't for Mr. McKnight, there might not have been a Take 6.

Crystal Leotaud - a mezzo-soprano, vocal coach and choir director in the NYC area, handled the honors of doing the interview for EoJ last week. YAY! You'll hear about the new album's theme, how Take 6 comes up with their tight harmonies, what it was like to go back to their gospel roots for an entire album, the upcoming tour, and how the fans embrace the group around the world.

I hope that you enjoy the exchange. My apologies to you for the technical failings of the Skype recording. It is an ongoing learning process for me.

My thanks goes out to Claude McKnight for being available, Crystal Leotaud for doing the interview, and  Rob Evanoff  (1888 Media) for providing EoJ with the opportunity!
