Announcement: The Elements of Jazz Facebook Page is Now Available!

Happy 2011 to everyone!

One of the things that I felt would facilitate communication between us would be the creation of a Facebook Page for Elements of Jazz.

Hopefully, it will make us feel more like a community.

Plus, I am the GRAMMY.com Community Blogger for Jazz! The FB page will be used to capture the build-up to and my attendance of GRAMMY Week events in February 2011.  I'll be live-blogging, taking pictures, chatting with folks and giving you an insiders' look to what the GRAMMYs are all about - come join the fun. :)

The website isn't going anywhere, okay? :)

Hi Barry
Thank you for the good wishes for the site. It has been almost a year since I made it a live website. 2010 was interesting and 2011 is already looking more exciting.

I was aware of the Hot Club of Detroit and had no idea that there was also a Hot Club of Philadelphia. :(

Thank you for bringing your review to my attention. I hope to be able to check out the band's tracks on ReverbNation by Thursday afternoon. :)

Hi Donna,
Yes, Hot Clubs are spreading like wildfire! I know the guitarists in the HC of Detroit. good band. There's also a HC of San Fran., Hells Kitchen, Hulaville, and more! [I'm not kidding]! Last year was Django's Centenntial and it looks like Gypsy Jazz is going very strong. Our Cd was just reviewed in "All About Jazz NY."
Here's a link to download a copy; http://www.aaj-ny.com/ pg 35

Hi Barry

I can almost feel your excitement jump off of the screen. :) I downloaded a copy of the January 2011 issue "all About Jazz NY" before you left your latest comment.

I look forward to hearing your music very soon.
