EoJ is Going to the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards!

Hi everyone! It was about this time last year that I received the amazing news that I would be the Community Blogger for Jazz at the GRAMMY® Awards! Awards. As a lot of you know, I attended the 53rd Annual extravaganza this past February.

It was amazing - musical artists from all over the world in one place at one time! I saw and/or met Esperanza Spalding, Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Gregory Porter, Diana Krall and Elvis Costello, Tony Bennett, Nicky Yanafsky, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Mavis Staples, Billy Childs and his wife, Kem, Kirk Whalum, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Arturo Sandoval, John Beasley and his wife, Barbara Streisand, BeBe Winans, Leann Rimes, Julie Andrews, Trombone Shorty, George Beverly Shea, Al Bell, Bruce Lundvall, Tia Carrere, Bobby McFerrin, Jennifer Hudson, Cee-Lo, The Roots (performed at the after-party!), James Moody's widow, Sue Mingus, Wayne Wallace, Yolanda Adams, Martina McBride, Christina Aguilera, and so many other artists!

One of the major highlights for me was meeting and chatting with legendary jazz drummer Roy Haynes. That was priceless!

The GRAMMY folks have invited me back for a second year! How cool is that? :)

You'll get right-to-the-minute updates via Twitter. More detailed observations will be shared here on the blog and the EoJ Facebook page.

I'm so excited! I can't wait to see what's in store for all of us music fans! Stay tuned for more news as we get closer to February 12th, 2012!

Thank you for your love, encouragement and support over the years. You all are truly amazing and steadfast in your support of me and my efforts. I am humbled.
