HBO's "Treme" Starts 2nd Season on April 24th, 2011!

Screenshot from Tremé's opening credits. The second season of Tremé starts next Sunday, 24 April 2011! YAY!

What is it? It's a critically acclaimed original HBO series that made its debut in 2010.

Season One began three months after Hurricane Katrina. The residents of New Orleans, including musicians, chefs, Mardi Gras Indians, and ordinary New Orleanians try to rebuild their lives, their homes and their unique culture in the aftermath of the 2005 hurricane.

The name Tremé is taken from a neighborhood in the city of New Orleans.

I'm not sure why it took a whole entire year for season 2 to be aired (Does anyone know why?). To refresh your memory, here is Season One's trailer:

And a quick video synopsis of what happened during Season One:

Didn't get the Tremé first season DVD yet but want to know what happened in the first 10 episodes? Click here.

Check out these new teasers for the new season!

If you've never been to New Orleans or are not certain what New Orleans music is all about, you should check this series out. There's a breadth and depth of music presented on the show that should whet your appetite for more.

Enjoy! :)

They are still filming Season 2. I see the trucks set up all over the city.

Hi Terri!

Wow! I guess that they are filming the last few episodes. From the info that I read online, I get the impression that it's going to be a 10 episode season like last year. Have you heard any differently?
