Top 50+ Jazz Albums for the Week of 13 February 2012

Be Good ~ Gregory PorterHi everyone! I'm back from being in Los Angeles for GRAMMY week events. It was a whirlwind of entertaining events again this year, coupled with the unexpected shock of learning about Whitney Houston's death while I was at the Special Merit Awards presentation Saturday afternoon. May she be at peace.

Congratulations to both Christian McBride and Terri Lyne Carrington for their GRAMMY wins!

I will be wrapping up my thoughts about the winners of the GRAMMY Jazz categories in a few days. Stay tuned for that!

Now, back to our regulary scheduled programming. :) This is the 13 February 2012 US/Canada radio airplay list from JazzWeek.com.

Do you want to see the stats on how many radio stations played your favorite artist or how much s/he moved up or down the chart from last week? Click here to get that information.

What's about the new Ahmad Jamal CD "Blue Moon"?

February 14, 2012 | Unregistered Commenternouvortne

Hi Dirk!

I mention that Ahmad Jamal has a new album out in the introduction, but the broadcasting of it hasn't made an impact on it (the list - a compilation of how much airplay an album gets on the airwaves of mostly traditional radio) yet. I'm sure that the album will be acknowledged when the 20 February 2012 list is released.
